KeweenawBroadband Cooperative to acquire assets of ShoreWaves
ShoreWaves announced an agreement to sell the assets of ShoreWaves to Keweenaw Broadband Cooperative which will allow the service to continue operations uninterrupted.to customers. Existing customers are not required to make any changes on their part to use the new service.
ShoreWaves is Ending Service
ShoreWaves announced to customers on July 2nd, 2026 that it will cease operations and wind down customer service, following the retirement of founder Steve Fitzgerald. This has reluctantly come after unsuccessfully finding someone to acquire the operations after a two year search.
